About Kilnlane Dental

Our comprehensive dental care means we offer all the treatments you would expect including fillings, white and silver (amalgam), extractions and root canal treatment but we will never resort to drilling, filling or pulling unless there really is no other option. We can't stress enough how important our patients' long-term dental wellbeing is to us and we make every effort to prevent problems arising in the first place - rather than dealing with them if they do.

Restorative & Cosmetic

Throughout our lives most people will undergo some restoration treatment for teeth that have been damaged or lost through dental decay or chipped in accidents. Restorative treatments can also be used to improve the appearance of your smile by closing gaps, repairing chips or cracks and treating discoloured or unsightly teeth and sometimes this is referred to as cosmetic dentistry.

There are a number of reasons why you might need a crown:

  • The tooth may have been weakened by having a very large filling in it
  • You may have broken the tooth
  • You may have had a root filling which will require a crown to protect it
  • You may have discoloured fillings and would like to improve the appearance of the tooth.

Crowns are made of a variety of materials with the most common being all ceramic (no metal) and gold but new materials are continually being introduced.

Provide a wafer thin mask to hide discolouration and close gaps with little or no work being needed on the tooth itself.

A fixed bridgeis usually used where there are fewer teeth to replace, or when the missing teeth are only on one side of the mouth. A bridge is made by constructing crowns on the teeth at either side of the space, and then joining these two (or more) crowns together by placing a false tooth in the space.

These are normally made from a metal frame with acrylic gum and teeth attached or just acrylic and are used to replace lost or missing teeth. Their appearance can be changed to make them more natural looking and can even be flexible for added comfort.

A smile can change everything.

Your confidence. Your outlook. Your life. And with Invisalign, achieving the smile you always dreamed of doesn’t have to be a big deal. In fact, it barely has to impact your day-to-day life at all.

Invisalign straightens teeth using a series of nearly invisible, removable aligners that are custom-made specifically for your teeth. As you replace each aligner every two weeks, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week, gradually moving towards the projected final position.

Comfortable, clear and removable – Invisalign transforms your smile without disrupting your life. Something that over 2.5 million people worldwide have already discovered.

Are you ready for your new smile?

A dental implant is an artificial tooth, which looks and works like the real thing and can be used to restore your smile by permanently replacing one or more missing teeth. An artificial titanium root replaces the root of a missing tooth. Dental implants can also save healthy teeth by eliminating the need to grind down tooth tissue, required by traditional bridgework. They can improve your appearance and smile because when teeth are lost the jawbone shrinks, causing signs of ageing.

Tooth Whitening

Tooth whitening is the simplest, kindest and most affordable way of enhancing your smile. Many people look and feel years younger after the treatment, having erased stains caused by tobacco, food, beverages and internal pigments that make your teeth look darker as you age. With more choice than ever available for tooth whitening our most popular, cost effective and most simple is the Home Whitening System (pictured).

“I would like to say a big thank you for giving me my smile back! Thank you for being so understanding and patient. I would confidently recommend your practice to anyone.”
